Legal Privacy Policy
How we handle your information.
Haynes & Pine is a fine carpentry and architectural woodwork business based in Charlotte, North Carolina. This website exists to show our work and to let you start a conversation with us. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site collects, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
The only information this site collects is what you choose to send us through the consultation form.
Consultation inquiries
When you submit the form we receive your name, email address, phone number, project location (city and state), project type, your role in the project, and a description of what you have in mind. You may also tell us an estimated budget range and a desired timeline; both are optional.
Photos and plans
You may attach up to six files (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, or PDF, 4 MB in total) to show us the space or the drawings. Attachments are optional. Large photos are reduced in size in your browser before they are sent. We check each file’s type before accepting it.
Technical details
The service that hosts this site, Amazon Web Services, keeps standard technical logs of requests, including IP addresses, for up to 30 days. We use them only to keep the site running and to protect the form from automated abuse, including a limit on how often one connection can submit it.
How we use it
- To review your inquiry and get back to you about the right next step.
- To prepare for a consultation and, if we work together, to plan and carry out the project.
- To keep a record of inquiries we have received.
- To protect the form from spam and automated abuse.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list. We will only contact you about your inquiry and any project that follows from it.
Where it is kept and who sees it
Each inquiry, with its attachments, is emailed directly to the business mailbox we use to run Haynes & Pine. The website itself keeps no copy: once the email is sent, nothing from your inquiry remains on the website’s servers beyond the technical logs described above. The email is sent through Amazon Web Services on our behalf, which processes it only to deliver it.
Your information is seen only by the people at Haynes & Pine who need it to respond to you. If a project involves a trade partner, such as an architect, designer, or builder you are already working with, we will share project details with them only as needed to do the work and only with your knowledge.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry emails for as long as we need them to respond to you and, if we work together, for the life of the project and the business records that follow it. If you decide not to proceed, you can ask us to delete your inquiry and its attachments at any time, and we will.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set cookies, does not use analytics or advertising services, and does not track you across other websites. Nothing about your visit is recorded unless you submit the consultation form.
Third-party services
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, Google receives the technical details any web request carries, such as your IP address and browser type. Google’s handling of that data is described in Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab). The site is hosted on, and inquiry emails are sent through, Amazon Web Services, whose handling of that data is described in the AWS privacy notice (opens in a new tab). No other third-party services run on this site.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Call us at (704) 561-1865, or use the consultation form on the homepage and mention that your message is a privacy request. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge for these requests.
You are never required to submit the form. If you would rather not, you are welcome to call instead.
Children
This site is intended for adults arranging residential and commercial woodwork. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted the form, let us know and we will delete the inquiry.
Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles information changes, for example if we add a booking tool or analytics, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Meaningful changes will be noted here in plain language.
Contact
Questions about this policy or about your information can be sent through the consultation form or by phone at (704) 561-1865. Haynes & Pine, Charlotte, North Carolina.
